Review:  Happening in 1940, this story is in wartime. Germany is taken over by Hitler. Felix is a young boy in an orphanage; he had been there three years and eight months until he finally decided to run away. Running for miles and miles until he gets to a house and finds a girl called Zelda outside a burning house, she is only just alive. They make a long journey to the city where Barney and some odd children live. Zelda becomes ill and needs aspirin. Felix goes out alone and finds some he runs back to the cellar only to find Barney being led out by Nazis. They are put on a train to a death camp; the train is rotting so Felix creates a big hole and jumps out with the other children. One has been shot and is dead.

A very touching story.
